My pancake disaster
Last Sunday day, I got an idea: why not make my family a homemade pancake breakfast.
I am not the darling of the culinary world. But, I don’t imagine it’s very tough. I washed. I took a bowl, put in some flour, eggs, milk, and way too much baking soda. (Oops!) I mixed it all to impact my family. The best chefs brought by good food are the ones the kitchen can hold with and this is how I felt. The first pancake placed in the hot pan and after a few seconds, I knew it cooked perfectly as I heard the burning sound.
However, when I tried to turn it over, the thought of it falling through my sticks crossed my mind! The pancake failed like a sad wallet.
It was half burnt, half doughy.
My family came in and I expected some words of praise, but all we did was smile at each other. And I even prepared a pancake and my dog was very offended at this point!
So, what did I find out? Stick to what you know. Don’t get too excited and try some outdated words. It’s better to have a backup plan in case something goes wrong. And it is better for you to never think that you are a chef on a Sunday morning.
